I founded Headmistress in late 2008 from the ground up - it began with zero sales, no website, and nary a social media follower. I grew Headmistress into a living, breathing business that I’m so proud of - people who aren’t even my mom actually bought my pieces. I started on a whim, fresh out of McGill University while living in London, England. After just a few weeks, I had myself a full-time business. It was at the market in London that I started wholesaling to retailers around the world - my first boutique partner was in Italy. Within a few months, I was selling my pieces at boutiques in Japan, Taiwan and Australia.
